Reunited

Today was a reunion of sorts for Ava and her cousin Jeremy. We saw Jeremy the first weekend we arrived, and all 3 of my girls had fun catching up and playing with him. But back in the day, when we still lived in Texas, there had only been Jeremy and Ava. We moved before Jocelyn was mobile, so for almost 2 years anytime we came to San Antonio Ava and Jeremy were attached at the hip, playing and laughing and having a grand time. Ava idolized her cousin and would do anything he wanted to, and Jeremy enjoyed having another little person around to play with. Today Jeremy went to play outside with my parents' neighbor, and while Molly and Jocelyn opted to stay indoors, Ava went and joined the boys in the sprinklers. When they came inside, Ava and Jeremy washed the grass off themselves and ate dinner together. Much of the night the two of them were doing their own thing together. Now they are having their own little sleepover (Jocie was very upset not be included, by the way). It was so fun to watch these two really get reacquainted. I wish they could live closer and truly grow up together, but for now I'll settle for these sweet moments they get to share together.
