Summer Schedule

Today seemed like our first "slow" summer day. In other words, we only had activities in the afternoon, so the morning was spent at home. I tried to get some cleaning done, and after a little while the girls got the picture and stopped hanging all over me. Ava and Jocelyn had a tea party, played school, and colored. Molly was not invited to the tea party but tagged along for coloring. At 10:20 I fed them a snack (pretzels and raisins) and let them watch one 15-minute show as a sort of break. Then there was a dance party and playtime with Barbies squeezed in before lunch. Best of all, the girls did EXCELLENT at cleaning up after each activity, a concept they have never grasped. There was very little arguing or whining. I can't expect it to go this smoothly all summer, but we sure have things off to a great start.
