Little Momma

Molly has become quite the little nurturer over the last month or two. She almost always has a baby doll in her arms, or at the very least a stuffed animal or some sort she is taking care of. This morning we hosted a playgroup, and one of our guests was a 4-month-old little girl. Molly was VERY excited to have someone here smaller than her, and spend almost the entire time playing with baby Gracie. There were a few times I had to remind Molly to be gentle with the baby - she is clearly used to being manhandled by her older sisters - but despite having her feet yanked on and no less than 8 toys crammed in her seat at any given time, Gracie was highly entertained by Molly. She even got fussy when Molly eventually moved on to play with someone else.

Whether inspired by her baby friend or not, Molly then spent the rest of the day toting around a stuffed Cookie Monster and a baby doll bottle. She fed Cookie his milk approximately 56 times throughout the day, and made sure to burp him nearly every time. It is too funny seeing my baby pretend to take care of other babies. I love that she is already a very nurturing soul. I hope that while she may outgrow the baby dolls, that her desire to care for others is a quality she keeps for many years to come.

I love the look Gracie is giving Molly in this picture

having SO much fun taking care of Baby :)
