Happy Birthday to Ben

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday. Honestly, it was pretty low-key as far as birthdays go. Ava and Jocelyn painted a banner for him to see when he got home from work and made cards for him. We got him a Perry the Platypus t-shirt for his gift (after our anniversary and Father's Day, there's just not much else left to get). I made pizza for dinner and brownies for dessert, but Ben had a softball game to play in with some co-workers so there was no time for brownies tonight. Hopefully Ben knows that the small affair that was his birthday celebration does not reflect how much he is loved. I am certainly glad he was born on this day 30 years ago, as are his daughters. So happy birthday, love. May the next year be full of even more joy and blessings than the years before.
